MS Consultancy has signed a consultancy contract with the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) for the City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) Plan Feasibility Study and the Detailed Design of Fecal Sludge and Wastewater Management Systems, covering towns across two project lots.
The assignment will be implemented in Ambo, Wolkite, and Sebeta, as well as Batu, Arsi Negele, Dilla, and Robe, and forms part of the Government of Ethiopia’s broader national effort to strengthen inclusive, sustainable, and well-coordinated urban sanitation services. The project will assess existing sanitation conditions and develop integrated City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation plans that respond to local contexts while aligning with national sanitation policies and priorities. As part of the assignment, MS Consultancy will prepare feasibility studies and detailed engineering designs for fecal sludge and wastewater management systems, supported by practical implementation guidelines and cost-recovery-based business models that enable long-term service delivery.

The consultancy contract was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Water and Energy by H.E. Ambassador Assfaw Dingamo. During the signing ceremony, H.E. emphasized that MS Consultancy is a national consulting firm with the technical capacity, proven experience, and strong reputation required to successfully deliver complex water supply and sanitation projects in close collaboration with the Ministry.
Following the signing, Desalegn Getachew, Deputy Managing Director of MS Consultancy, expressed appreciation for the trust placed in the firm and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering the assignment to the highest professional standard.
