On June 18, 2024, a significant site visit and meeting were held for the Adama Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (AWSSIP). This event marked a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to enhance water supply and sanitation services in the Adama-Mojo area.
The AWSSIP, funded by the Africa Development Bank and supported by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, aims to bring sustainable and efficient water management solutions to the community. This project is vital for improving the quality of life for the residents of Adama and its surrounding areas.
During the site visit, key stakeholders, including representatives from the Adama Town Water Supply and Sewerage Services Enterprise, higher government officials, and project partners, gathered to assess the progress of the project and discuss future milestones. The meeting was kick-started with opening remarks from higher officials, followed by a detailed presentation from our consultancy, MS Consultancy, on the project’s progress. The discussions focused on the project’s achievements, upcoming challenges, and strategies to ensure timely and successful completion.
The meeting highlighted several key aspects of the project. The team reviewed the current status of construction and installation work, noting significant advancements in infrastructure. Additionally, discussions covered the upcoming phases of the project, including plans for extending pipelines, enhancing sewage treatment facilities, and implementing sustainable maintenance practices.
