In March 2023, MS Consultancy signed a contract agreement with Addis Ababa’s Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) to assess the status and condition of Chefe WWTP-Phase I works and prepare a rehabilitation and upgrade plan. The project aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the wastewater treatment plant and ensure that it meets the required standards set by the Government.
The project is expected to provide numerous benefits to the community, including improved environmental protection, increased efficiency and effectiveness of the wastewater treatment plant, and enhanced public health and safety. The project will also promote sustainable development and economic growth within the Chefe Sub-catchment by ensuring that the wastewater treatment plant operates at peak performance.
