The recent workshop organized by the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) in Adama, Ethiopia, was a resounding success. The two-day workshop brought together experts from various fields to collaborate on developing a comprehensive and effective design Criteria and Manual for urban water supply.
The workshop began with a keynote speech by H.E. Ambassador Asfaw Dingamo, emphasizing the urgency of updating the existing urban water supply study design manual. The consultant then led a series of presentations, covering topics such as water treatment plants, financial and economic analysis, and water resources.

Throughout the workshop, discussion panels facilitated by a moderator provided valuable feedback, which the consultant appreciated and acknowledged. The feedback will be used to make necessary adjustments to submit an improved final document.
Overall, the workshop was a crucial step towards the development of a comprehensive Manual, which targets building better water infrastructure and ensuring access to clean water for all citizens.
