It is to be recalled that MS Consultancy signed a consultancy service contract with AAWSA for the project Consultancy Services for Design, Tender Documents Preparation, and Construction Supervision of Decentralized WWTPs at 12 Condominium Housing Sites” on April 19th, 2021. Per the contract agreement and shortly after the signing, the Consultant began its work for the inception phase- during which the design team undertook various activities (e.g., initial and technical site visits/observations, literature review, preliminary consultations).
Attended by 16 professionals, the Inception-Phase Meeting was held on Friday, June 25th, 2021, at AAWSA Head Office (Addis Ababa). The meeting coordinator and AAWSA’s Deputy General Manager, Ato Alemayehu Mengistu, introduced the meeting and afterward gave the floor to the Consultant, who proceeded with the presentation of the inception report.
In addition to its preliminary findings, the Consultant presented the various work carried out during the inception phase to the Client. The presentations held by the Consultant raised and discussed the following four essential points:
- Introduction
- Activities during the Inception Period (the site visit and desktop review)
- Overview of the Consultant Findings (including the Environmental and Social Aspects)
- Updated Methodology
Following the presentations, personnel from AAWSA expressed their gratitude and acknowledgment towards the preparation and detail work done by the design team. Then, the floor was open for comments and discussions.
